We use a Woven Geotextile fabric from US Fabrics - US 200 Geotextile Fabric which was intended to be used for gravel and paved road installation. Geotextile fabrics allow for water to permiate through the fabric while leaving the aggregate (gravel) above. It stops your driveway gravel from sinking into the subsoil and from you having to add more gravel every season.
